Live in Couple Job in Worcestershire
We are looking for a friendly and dedicated live in couple to help with the maintenance and housekeeping of a large country estate in a beautiful part of the Worcestershire countryside. This is a fabulous ‘Lifestyle’ position, for the right couple, looking for a flexible way of life in beautiful surroundings.
The estate lies within 100 acres (mainly farmland) with a 3-acre garden. The principal is a single lady in her 70s who has a small dog.
The Gardener role will be full time, and the Housekeeper position will be part time.
The ideal couple would be flexible, punctual, organised discreet, easy going and willing. More important is a willingness to learn and take on board new skills and a positive and helpful attitude. Essential is a good sense of humour!
Duties to include, but not limited to:
1. Daily cleaning
2. Laundry and ironing
3. Tidying, organising and de-cluttering rooms
4. Pet care and occasional dog walking
5. Assistance in the kitchen when required (include washing up, clearing away and tidying etc)
6. Companionship and care for the principal
7. Gardening (lawn mowing, hedge cutting, care of roses, weeding, pruning etc
8. Exterior maintenance (such as outdoor painting and clearing gutters)
9. Interior maintenance (painting, minor repairs and basic DIY
10. Maintaining and operating garden machinery (including a BOBCAT Skid-Steer)
11. House and dog sitting when the principal is away
12. Security
13. Occasional driving duties (airport tuns, days trips etc)
Start: ASAP
Accommodation: a 1,200 sq 1 bedroom apartment at the top of the house with separate entrance. Utility bills included. Pets might be considered.
Driving: ideally both must be confident drivers.
Working days: Monday to Friday
Hours:
14. Gardener: 35 hours a week
15. Housekeeper: 20 hours a week (4 hours a day)
They are happy that the successful candidates find other jobs locally to supplement their pay (as long as this does not conflict with our agreed arrangements).
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 gross per annum, depending on experience
