Job Description:
We are seeking a Deputy Manager to join a Residential Children's Home in Redhill. The salary is up to £40,000 depending on qualifications and experience. The role is Monday to Friday, 9-18, plus one weekend day per month. This is a highly rewarding position with many benefits.
You will be a key part of the leadership team, supporting children to lead meaningful and happy lives. Your responsibilities include supporting their physical, mental, and social needs, building strong personal relationships, managing the day-to-day operations of the home, and supporting staff recruitment and development.
You will undertake assessments, planning, and evaluation of care needs, facilitate meetings, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with safeguarding, Ofsted, and other statutory requirements. Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies, including Data Protection and Health and Safety, is essential.
Person Specification:
* Relevant health or social care qualification (NVQ Level 4 or 5) or equivalent
* Management experience in a registered children’s home
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Experience supervising staff and resource management
* Ability to conduct holistic needs and risk assessments
* Commitment to promoting rights and personalized support
* IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
* Ability to build positive relationships and train staff
* Ability to work under pressure and solve problems independently
