Assistant Head Teacher role at Witherslack Group. Salary: £72,858 - £76,154 + excellent benefits.
Luxborough Court School is a brand-new, purpose-built school registered for 150 pupils aged 5 – 19 with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. The site offers a large sports hall, bespoke sixth form suite, extensive outdoor space, and separate playgrounds with a multi-use games area. Public transport and road links are good, with Chigwell Station nearby and access to the M11.
As part of the Witherslack Group, you will work with children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. You will help set the school vision alongside the Head Teacher and ensure the right people and plans are in place to support learners to leave feeling proud of their achievements. The group provides strong support from the broader management team and specialists and aims to enable a rewarding teaching career in well-resourced school environments.

Responsibilities
* Work with the Head Teacher to set the vision for the future of the school and ensure appropriate staffing and planning to support learners.
* Lead and develop teaching and learning for pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and SEMH needs.
* Foster a culture of resilience and celebrate progress through “huge small victories” and meaningful wins for learners.
* Provide leadership and coaching to staff, contribute to safeguarding and wellbeing of pupils, and collaborate with the wider management team.

Qualifications
* You’ll need previous teaching experience and Qualified Teacher Status
* Leadership and management experience
* Drive to raise the quality of teaching and learning
* Understanding of good behaviours for learning
* Effective leadership and coaching skills
* Strong interpersonal skills to develop a strong staff team
