About the Role
As the Building and Technical Services Manager, you will ensure campus facilities and technical services are maintained to high standards, providing a safe and welcoming environment. You will lead a team to enhance the student experience through effective management of premises, equipment, and health and safety standards.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a Campus Estates Strategy, managing Opex and Capex projects.
* Lead and manage the Building and Technical Services team.
* Oversee setup, maintenance, and safety of campus buildings and equipment.
* Ensure accessibility and collaborate with departments to meet needs.
* Manage Health and Safety compliance and policies.
* Oversee building security and liaise with external contractors.
* Manage preventative maintenance schedules.
* Provide technical support for events and maintain internal systems.
Qualifications
* Experience managing premises and technical services, preferably in higher education.
* Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation; NEBOSH qualification is a plus.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Highly organized with multitasking abilities.
* Flexible and adaptable to campus needs.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in IT and database management.
