Senior Project Quantity Surveyor – Clean Energy Generation
Senior Project Quantity Surveyor sought by leading project developer pioneering the delivery of Renewable Energy assets throughout the UK. The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will support project delivery, taking responsibility from the project development team, supporting the closure of contracts, and managing them through construction and handover to operations.
Projects include the UK’s largest Energy Storage Assets (+100MW), H2 Ready Thermal Power Plants, and Green Hydrogen Electrolysis Assets. These projects involve high-value equipment installation, M&E, and civils activity.
The ideal candidate will oversee risk and value management, drive subcontractor performance, and manage quality. Experience in M&E, Renewables, O&G, Thermal power, or large-scale Infrastructure (Data Centres, Civil Infra) is preferred.
Key requirements:
* Experience with various contract forms, especially NEC suite (ECC accreditation preferred).
* Experience with heavy Civils/M&E/Energy works in main/principal contractor setting (not essential).
* Experience managing contracts over £10m (desirable).
Key responsibilities:
* Lead change management, maintain control procedures, manage risk and early warning registers, and react proactively to variations.
* Prepare enquiry documents, review work scopes, negotiate contracts, and draft final documentation.
* Manage contractor accounts, assess payments, and issue notices.
* Challenge disallowed costs and report on costs and progress to senior management.
* Provide commercial support to site management and maintain professional relationships.
Location: Projects are throughout England, with offices in London.
