EF Torquay Summer School is seeking dedicated and outgoing teachers to join our team for summer 2026.
Position Details:
1. Full-time
2. 6 days a week
3. Fixed-term contract between June – August 2026 (minimum two-week commitment

Responsibilities
4. Inspire international students to improve their English in fun, communicative lessons
5. Plan, prepare and deliver effective lessons to diverse groups of learners
6. Track student attendance, assess progress and provide regular feedback
7. Facilitate testing and maintain academic records
8. Participate in teacher briefings, staff meetings, and professional development sessions
9. Contribute to a positive and collaborative academic team environment
10. Act as an ambassador for EF
Requirements
11. Available between June-August 2026
12. TEFL or CELTA (or equivalent) qualified
13. Excellent communication skills
14. Sensitive to the needs of international students
15. Confident in teaching young learners (13-17)
16. Demonstrates a high level of customer service
17. Has strong administrative and organisational skills
18. All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references
19. Right to work in the UK at commencement of employment
20. C2 level of English
