Breakfast and After School Club Lead
Monday to Friday - 25 hours per week (split shift rota to cover daily Breakfast and Afterschool clubs)

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated childcare professional to join our team as the setting Lead at St John's Primary School in Canterbury.
You will be responsible for leading and delivering engaging, high-quality activities and care before and after school, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for children. A key aspect of the role is ensuring safeguarding policies are implemented and upheld to maintain a secure environment for all children in the setting. You will support and supervise playworkers, staff, and volunteers, ensuring effective communication with schools and parents.
Essential Skills/Experience:
Experience working with children aged 4 to 11 in a play-based or educational setting
Experience in managing or supervising staff in a childcare or educational setting
Understanding of children's varied needs and family dynamics
Knowledge of quality play care principles and equal opportunities
Strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures
Ability to communicate effectively with all members of the organisation, parents, schools, and childcare and play-related agencies
Desirable:
Level 2 (or above) qualification in Childcare
IT skills for club administration
Training in safeguarding and child protection
Current 12-hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate
Full UK Drivers License
