About Us
The RAC is the UK's leading breakdown service provider, powered by a dedicated team of 4,000 'orange heroes' delivering top-notch motoring services for both private and business drivers. Our unprecedented growth means we have an exciting opportunity for skilled, field-based Roadside Mechanics to join our Roadside Patrol team.
Your Role as a Roadside Mechanic
As a Roadside Mechanic, you will:
* Hold a Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
* Bring demonstrable technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
* Exhibit a customer-focused approach.
* Possess a full UK driving licence.
* Be flexible to work at relatively short notice.
* Be open to travel and overnight stays if necessary.
Working Conditions
This role involves working the equivalent of 40 hours per week without a set roster. You'll receive your schedule seven days in advance, with core hours communicated three days prior. Your shifts will fall between 06:00 and 02:00, including evenings, early mornings, weekends, and bank holidays.
