This key role involves working closely with the HOD to provide administrative oversight, supporting general secretarial tasks daily. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of department processes and identify improvements to increase efficiency.

The Opportunity:
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Providing secretarial support for the HOD and fee earners, including correspondence, court forms, digital dictation, billing, and document management.
2. Producing court bundles and preparing briefs to counsel.
3. Managing client enquiries via in-person, email, and phone.
4. Handling fee earners’ post and DX daily.
5. Preparing agendas, minutes, and data for departmental meetings.
6. Managing the HOD’s diary and scheduling.
7. Assisting with client complaints to ensure professional handling.
8. Gathering billing information for timely and accurate invoicing.
9. Collaborating with the Accounts team on forecasts, billing, and financial reports.
10. Leading fee earner admin meetings, driving improvements, and reporting to the HOD.
11. Managing monthly business development meetings with the HOD and Business Relationships Manager.
12. Supporting debt reduction efforts by working with Fee Earners.
13. Conducting audits, ensuring compliance, and suggesting process improvements.
14. Supporting department initiatives and leading special projects when needed.
15. Providing general administrative support, including answering calls and covering absences.
