Primary Teaching Assistants required \nHillingdon\nSeptember 2025 start\n£95-110 per day\n\nVeritas Education work with a variety of primary, secondary, and SEN schools across London and the surrounding areas, providing high-quality teachers and support staff for long-term, short-term, permanent, and daily supply roles. We partner with state, private, and independent schools, building strong, trusted relationships with our clients.\n\nWe are currently working with primary schools in the borough of Hillingdon that require experienced Primary Teaching Assistants for full time positions starting in September. Roles are full time, Monday - Friday, 8.30am-4pm, term time only.
These roles will involve supporting a diverse range of students, including those with additional needs.\n\nAs a Primary Teaching Assistant your responsibilities will include:\n\nSupporting students in achieving their academic goals and reaching their full potential.\nEncouraging students to engage proactively with their learning and develop independence.\nEnsuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for children to learn and thrive.\nAssisting the class teacher with behaviour management, promoting positive behaviour, and supporting general learning and development.\nSupporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and additional needs, ensuring their individual learning needs are met and they feel included in the classroom.\nDemonstrating good presentation and clear articulation skills to assist with communication and understanding.The ideal candidate will:\n\nHave experience working with children or young people, especially those with SEN, or have a strong interest in pursuing a career in education.\nHold a Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent), or a degree in a related field.\nBe patient, adaptable, and able to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.\nHave strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to motivate and support students effectively.Graduates with experience are encouraged to apply. \n\nIf you wish to be considered please respond to this advert by sending your up to date CV outlining relevant skills and experience/qualifications for this role. \n\nAPPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR VERITAS EDUCATION\n\nAll applications are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, professional reference checks, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) in line with our stringent safeguarding policy\nYour CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained\nYou must have legal right to work in the UK\nYou must be willing to attend a registration interviewVeritas Education work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area.
