The position of Cleaner is referred to internally at Sanctuary as General Assistant - Cleaning. The role of Cleaner will include:
1. Undertaking general duties such as maintaining the cleanliness of all communal areas, offices, and the kitchen.
2. Ensuring all cleaning duties are completed to a high standard.
3. Identifying and reporting potential faults and hazards on site to maintain a safe environment.
4. Maintaining stock levels, restocking as required, and ensuring equipment is used according to guidance notes.
5. Helping to prepare meals and drinks, following food hygiene standards, and ensuring the needs of customers are met.
6. Ensuring customers' privacy and dignity are maintained and respected.
7. Working knowledge and experience of undertaking general cleaning duties is desirable.
8. Some experience of working in a domestic/catering environment.
9. Level 2 diploma in housekeeping/catering, or willingness to work towards it.
10. Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
11. A general understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
