Job Role: Community Safety - Communities Lead
Are you passionate about fostering safer, cohesive communities? Coventry City Council seeks a talented and motivated individual for the role of Communities Lead. This key position involves delivering local crime and disorder strategies and ensuring residents thrive in a secure environment. You will lead initiatives to tackle Anti-Social Behaviour, exploitation, and low-level criminality, translating policies into operational actions to address community safety challenges.
1. Develop and implement strategies to promote community safety and engagement.
2. Lead initiatives addressing Anti-Social Behaviour, exploitation, and criminal activity.
3. Translate policies into operational responses for evolving safety issues.
4. Collaborate with partners, including police and stakeholders, to enhance community resilience.
5. Monitor and report on safety initiatives, using data to inform strategies.
This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and requires a satisfactory DBS check, HM Government Security Check (SC), and Non-Police Personal Vetting Level 2 clearance.
