The Role

The school is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Manager to join its pastoral team.

This role plays a crucial part in supporting student wellbeing, behaviour and personal development. You will work closely with year leaders, senior leaders, safeguarding staff and teaching teams to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed.

The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for students, parents and staff and will contribute to maintaining the school's positive culture and high expectations.


Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral support for students across designated year groups
• Monitor student behaviour, attendance and wellbeing
• Support students experiencing social, emotional or behavioural challenges
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to implement behaviour strategies
• Liaise with parents and carers regarding student progress and wellbeing
• Support safeguarding procedures and work closely with the safeguarding team
• Coordinate interventions for students requiring additional support
• Maintain accurate records of student behaviour and pastoral concerns
• Attend pastoral meetings and contribute to strategic student support planning
• Promote a positive and inclusive school environment

Requirements include:

• Experience working with young people in an educational or pastoral setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally
• Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to supporting inclusive education
