Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you'll help identify asset needs, manage structural assessments, and contribute to the development and delivery of long-term maintenance strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the management of highway structures assets by preparing survey briefs and reviewing survey outcomes
* Collaborate with technical partners to deliver assessment works and treatment option development
* Undertake early-stage design and option development aligned with national standards
* Carry out structural reviews in accordance with CS 451 and perform assessments using relevant DMRB methodologies
* Assist in developing long-term programmes and scheme options, focusing on cost-efficiency, buildability, and safety
* Ensure effective documentation and reporting to support investment decisions and value management processes
About You:
* Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with relevant experience
* Working towards (or holding) a professional qualification (e.g., IEng/CEng with ICE or similar)
* Demonstrable experience in structural inspections, renewals design or assessments
* Familiarity with UK highways standards including DMRB, MCHW, Eurocodes
* Understanding of CDM 2015 and its practical application in highway projects
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* A full UK driving licence (max 3 points) is essential
