Malone Group is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to manage and deliver projects within the Engineering Department, focusing on change management, building compliance, electrical design, space management and efficient energy solutions. The role is 80% office based, supporting Irish counterparts on their own projects.

Responsibilities
* Defining project scope, including budgets, to ensure projects are fully developed at concept stage
* Design and collaborate with other disciplines to create construction set of documents and work with regional vendors and manufacturers to specify appropriate electrical equipment
* Design utility and building services systems (MV & LV power distribution, lighting, life safety systems, security systems, etc.) including surveys where required to meet operational objectives
* Design & develop electrical schematics, process & instrumentation drawings, control loop drawings, assembly drawings and bill of materials
* Design sustainable solutions incorporating renewable technologies where required
* Input and support mechanical design development on projects, including leading at project meetings
* Review and approve equipment submittals for all electrical aspects of design
* Provide technical support for information requests prior to and during construction phases
* Oversee installation of projects on customer sites, ensuring quality, health and safety, and technical compliance
* Work with commissioning teams to test and validate installation, operation and performance of electrical systems
* Act as an Ancillary Certifier for BC(A)R, undertaking inspections prior to project certification
* Adhere to and monitor project programmes, tracking progress regularly
* Serve as point of contact with local utilities to define site utility requirements
* Effectively manage all financial and commercial aspects of site‑related contracts, including variation orders and customer/sub‑contractor negotiations, ensuring accurate specification, ordering and delivery of equipment and negotiating best cost and payment terms
Candidate Profile
* Degree in Electrical Engineering with post-qualification experience
* Leadership qualities to maintain relationships with internal and external customers
* Highly motivated, dependable with solid communication skills, attention to detail, and high quality standards
* Problem-solving skills
* Ability to mentor electrical project engineers
* Ability to quickly identify and remove roadblocks
* Proactive planning and resource allocation to meet project timelines
* Ability to manage new design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment/construction
* Ability to manage multiple projects of varying scale and complexity simultaneously
* Creative thinker to find innovative solutions, reducing costs without impacting quality, reliability or maintainability
* Enjoys solving problems, interacting with customers, suppliers and contractors, maintaining strong constructive relationships
* Experience using electronic document and drawing management systems
* Excellent understanding of European Technical Codes
* Knowledge of building codes and regulations
* Experience with electrical software: Autocad, Dialux, Amtech, REVIT, IES, etc.
* Good working knowledge of BIM systems
