CNC Machine Operator We are currently looking for a CNC Machine Operator to join our team, we specialise in design and manufacturing of live steam locomotives for garden railways and have been doing so since 1982. Key responsibilities are as follows: * Set up, Operate, and monitor CNC machines (VMC, tgurning centres, or multi-axis machines) to produce high-quality parts according to drawings and specifications. * Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD/CAM files, and work instructions. * Perform basic troubleshooting, maintenance, and inspection of machines and tools. * Ensure parts meet quality standards using measuring instruments (calipers and micrometers, etc) * Follow all safety procedures and aintain a clean and organised work area. * Collaberate with engineering and production teams to optomize machine performance and workflow. Qualifications; * Proven experience operating CNC machines (Hurco, Haas, Fanuc, Mazak, or equivalent) * Strong understanding of CNC programming, tooling, and feeds/speeds. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. * Familiarity with inspection equipmet and quality control processes. * Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. * Experience with conversational programming (Hurco Winmax, Mazatrol). * Experience with setup and operation of vertical machining centres (VMCs)
