Overview
The Occupational Therapy (OT) inpatient service is a dynamic and forward‑thinking team that encourages professional and service development. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) you will work under the guidance of a qualified Occupational Therapist to deliver specialised OT interventions.
Responsibilities
* Provide one‑on‑one OT interventions, group work, and support clients in accessing local community resources to enable successful discharge.
* Support the OT service in assessment, treatment, maintenance and resettlement of service users on the ward, within the OT department and in the community.
* Contribute to the planning, provision and evaluation of the OT service.
* Develop specialist knowledge and skills in acute mental health and train/educate colleagues.
* Assist in establishing work placements within the Trust and with partner organisations.
* Maintain positive key relationships with key stakeholders to promote the OT programme.
