An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and forward-thinking School Business Manager to join the Senior Leadership Team at Thames Ditton Infant School.

About the Role
This is a varied and rewarding position requiring a proactive and adaptable individual with strong leadership and organisational skills. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective management of the school’s resources and operations.
The ideal candidate will:
1. Have strong financial management experience, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance.
2. Be highly IT literate, confident using and implementing systems (e.g. SIMS, FMS, Tucasi) to improve efficiency.
3. Demonstrate sound knowledge of finance, HR, recruitment, and health & safety within a school setting.
4. Show strategic thinking and the ability to contribute effectively to the Senior Leadership Team.
5. Have proven experience managing staff, systems, and operational processes.
6. Be highly organised, able to prioritise, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
7. Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to report to a range of audiences including Governors.
8. Maintain high levels of professionalism and confidentiality.
9. Be proactive, solution-focused, and confident in sharing ideas and driving improvement.
10. Ideally have previous school experience and a relevant finance or SBM qualification.
11. Be personable, positive, and committed to supporting the school’s ethos and community.

Working Pattern and Salary
17. 25 hours per week (working pattern to be agreed with the successful candidate)
18. All year round contract (with 5.2 weeks of annual leave, increasing with length of service)
19. Flexibility to work additional hours by mutual agreement, where required
20. Salary: Surrey Pay Scale 10 (£47,142 – £51,175 full-time equivalent)
