OverviewBAE Systems (Land Sector) is looking for a Product Development Engineer to support the development and delivery of defence products at their Glascoed site. This is a hands-on engineering role with a strong focus on technical documentation, trials activity, safety compliance paperwork, and configuration management .Key detailsLocation: Glascoed, Monmouthshire ( NP15 1XL ) - on-siteContract length: 12 monthsWorking pattern: 37 hours over 4 days (Mon-Thurs 07:15-17:00, Friday off )IR35: Inside IR35Rate: £38.25/hr UmbrellaHeadcount: 1ResponsibilitiesProduce and manage technical product specificationsWrite and review technical reports and supporting engineering documentationPlan, support, and document product trialsCreate and maintain safety paperwork, ensuring adherence to safety protocolsSupport/maintain configuration management activities and documentationWork closely with internal stakeholders to support delivery across the product development lifecycleEnsure compliance to relevant standards, procedures, and regulationsRequired experience / skillsStrong technical engineering capability (hands-on, practical approach)Proven experience with: Technical report writingSpecification writingSupporting or running trialsProducing safety documentation / working to safety proceduresConfiguration management (processes, documentation, control)Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teamsDefence/regulated engineering experience preferredTPBN1_UKTJ
