Financial Accountant (Audit Background)
Ready to take your audit expertise into a commercial finance role? We’re looking for a qualified Financial Accountant who wants to move beyond professional practice and become part of a growing commercial business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone trained within a Big 4 or leading accountancy firm who enjoys the technical side of accounting but is keen to see the real‑world impact of their work within an operational environment.
What You'll Do
* Supporting the production of monthly management accounts
* Reviewing and analysing profit and loss performance
* Managing lease accounting and IFRS compliance
* Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
* Performing revenue recognition analysis and reporting
* Coordinating the annual external audit process
* Supporting and enhancing internal audit activities and communications
* Managing intercompany reconciliations and transactions
* Providing technical accounting support across the finance function
* Contributing to finance improvement projects and ad‑hoc initiatives
What We're Looking For
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
* Strong audit background gained within a Big 4 or leading accountancy practice
* Experience auditing financial services, financial institutions, or complex corporate environments
* Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting standards
* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
* A proactive approach and desire to build a career within the industry
