Test Engineer
Manchester (with international travel)
Are you an Electrical Test Engineer with experience working on heavy industrial equipment? Join this well-established international manufacturer and work alongside a collaborative team supporting an impressive global client base.
You'll be based in the company's Heywood office when onsite but liaise and visit clients across the helping test heavy duty industrial equipment.
Key responsibilities:
* Fault Finding and Diagnostics: Diagnose and resolve electrical faults during testing and commissioning.
* Heavy duty Machine Testing: Perform routine testing on industrial machinery to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
* Lead factory acceptance testing (FAT) of complex packaging machinery to ensure compliance with quality, performance and customer specifications.
* Verify machine functionality, performance and safety systems prior to customer handover.
* Reporting and Admin: Accurately document testing visits and provide detailed feedback to internal teams to support continuous product improvement.
* Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict H&S standards, carry out onsite risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
* Electrical engineering background - HNC/HND Qualification.
* Strong communication and customer service skills - Ability to communicate effectively with customers when onsite.
* Global Travel Experience - This job will require international travel, so having a background of working away is desirable.
* Strong attention to detail with effective problem solving, troubleshooting and fault diagnosis skills.
