Description
We are looking for a committed, enthusiastic and determined person to join our Swimming Team and make York Sport Village a success for all our customers. As a Swimming Teacher you will be highly motivated, with a commitment to delivering a first-class service to all York Sport facilities users.
The role will involve the planning, teaching, assessment and evaluation of swimming lessons for pupils aged 6 months upwards. You must hold a current Level 2 Swimming Instructor qualification.
You will possess excellent communication skills and an ability to work on your own initiative and within a team. Hours of work may require you to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
York Sport swimming lessons run 50 weeks a year.
The salary is £15.00 per hour.
Available shifts are:
1. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 15:45-19:15, Thurs 09:15-12:15, Saturday 07:55-12:25 (21.5 hours a week) maternity cover from February 2026
2. Monday 15:45-19:15, Friday 16:05-19:05 (6.5 hours a week) maternity cover from November 2025
3. Thursday 15:55-19:25, Friday 15:35-19:05 (7 hours a week)
