We are currently seeking a compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs in schools across Merton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about inclusive education and is looking to make a lasting impact in a child’s life.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support plans
Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
Adapt learning materials and approaches to meet individual needs
Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements:
Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (in a school, care, or support setting)
A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Right to work in the UK
A current DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
Available to start from September
