Department of Continuing Education, Policy Unit, Ewert House, Summertown, Oxford, OX2 7DD Oxford University Department for Continuing Education (OUDCE) is seeking to appoint a full-time Student Support Administrator (as maternity cover for at least 14 months). You will ideally be passionate about supporting students with disabilities to achieve their best outcomes, and/or have a strong interest in student funding and financial support. About the role Within our busy Student Administration team, you will co-ordinate arrangements for students with disabilities, which includes providing advice to students and staff (as the Departmental Disability Coordinator), and can involve creative thinking. You will also manage our various student bursary and scholarship schemes, and arrangements for those with Student Loans. There may be additional projects from time to time, such as supporting students with their UCAS applications. You will engage with prospective and current students, and liaise with a broad range of academic and professional staff within the Department, central University services, and colleges. This is a full-time position, available on a fixed-term contract, with a minimum of 14 months from mid-August 2025. About you You will be expected to develop a detailed knowledge of relevant University and departmental policies and procedures, particularly in relation to student disability support, student funding, and GDPR/ data privacy. While training is provided and professional support is available, you will be expected to have a good understanding from the outset, the principles underpinning at least two of these three areas. You will have:

2. A background working within higher education administration (ideally, or otherwise within other education sectors)
3. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
4. The ability to work flexibly to deadlines with minimal supervision
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
6. The ability to work well within a team
7. Excellent customer service skills
8. Experience in dealing appropriately with sensitive and confidential matters, employing tact and discretion
9. Good numeracy
10. Competence in IT applications (Microsoft Word, Excel etc)
