We are currently working with a Local Authority based in the North-West, who are recruiting for a locum Adult Social Care Lawyer to support their busy team for an initial 3-months, which is likely to be extended.
The position is due to start immediately and the hourly rate is circa £50 - £60 p/hour, but is negotiable based PQE and candidate expectations.
The role can be conducted on a remote basis, previous Local Government experience will be essential for the role and the successful candidate must be qualified as a Solicitor or CILEX.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
• Managing a complex caseload of Adult Social Care matters
• Acting in court of protection matters
• Preparing and representing the organisation in court of protection matters
• Advising on all aspects of adult safeguarding law
• Advising on plans and assessments for vulnerable adults
• Advising on the duties of the organisation under the Care Act
Experience required:
• Strong Adult Social Care experience
• Relevant Professional Qualification – Solicitor, Barrister, FCILEX
Working hours:
• 37 hours per week
• Monday – Friday
