Photocopier Field Service Engineer
Location: South Yorkshire
About the Role
You’ll deliver professional, efficient technical support across a range of MFDs and photocopiers, ensuring timely fault resolution and high‑quality maintenance. Working both independently and as part of a wider engineering team, you’ll contribute to a strong service culture built on collaboration, knowledge‑sharing, and customer focus.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver technical support within agreed SLA timeframes
* Diagnose and resolve faults efficiently and accurately
* Perform routine maintenance, updates, and modifications
* Assist with equipment installations and configuration
* Understand and adhere to SLAs for assigned accounts
* Carry out basic fault finding across managed print solutions
* Provide cover for colleagues during absence or peak periods
* Log service calls accurately and promptly
* Report recurring faults to support proactive resolution
* Share technical knowledge with team members
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts
* Manage boot stock and site stock levels effectively
* Attend manufacturer training to maintain technical proficiency
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Proven experience in field‑based technical support within the MFD/photocopier/print sector or someone with transferable skills such as EPOS / ATM / IT Hardware
* Strong logical fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
* Excellent communication and customer‑facing ability
* Confident working independently while contributing to a high‑performing team

* Salary up to £33,000
