MandM is evolving how we deliver change, combining structured project delivery with product-led ways of working. As we build empowered, cross-functional squads, we are looking for a Senior Project Manager who thrives on technical delivery to lead our most complex initiatives.
You’ll be the driving force behind projects that span multiple teams, with a particular focus on our e-commerce engine and the post-purchase/shipping journey. This role takes full ownership of financial tracking, forecasting, and control. It’s about landing critical change with precision while helping us build our internal capability by providing day-to-day guidance and mentorship to another Project Manager within the team.

The Role Scope
Reporting to the Head of Delivery, you will lead initiatives that require expert coordination across Technology, Product, and broader business operations. You will focus specifically on the intersection of E-commerce and Logistics, ensuring our orders move seamlessly from checkout to the customer’s door.
You will navigate the intersection of structured delivery and Agile growth, ensuring that while we move fast, we maintain the governance and financial control necessary to succeed at scale.
Role key responsibilities:
✨ End-to-End Project Delivery
1. Lead the delivery of complex initiatives with a focus on fulfillment, warehouse systems, and carrier integrations.
2. Own and manage structured delivery plans (Waterfall / APM), maintaining tight control over scope, timelines, and quality.
3. Work in close partnership with Technology teams, requiring a strong understanding of modern engineering environments and how practices like automated testing and deployment impact project timelines.
✨ Governance, Finance & Control
4. Take full ownership of project financial tracking, forecasting, and budget control.
5. Maintain strong governance, providing consistent and transparent reporting on progress to leadership and stakeholders.
6. Master the details: manage milestones, dependencies, and sequencing for a smooth delivery flow across internal teams and third-party vendors.
✨ Dependency & Risk Management
7. Proactively identify and mitigate project risks—particularly those involving Carrier APIs (DPD, Royal Mail, Metapack) and shipping data flows.
8. Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication across Technology, Logistics, and Trading teams.
✨ Collaboration & Delivery Leadership
9. Work closely with Sponsors, Product Managers, and Engineers to ensure delivery is technically feasible and aligned to product strategy.
10. Mentorship: Provide day-to-day guidance and mentorship to another Project Manager, helping to build a consistent delivery culture across the team.
About You
✨ What We’re Looking For
11. Project Delivery Expertise: Proven track record of delivering complex, end-to-end projects with full ownership of budgets and timelines.
12. Technology & Agile Experience: Proven experience working closely with engineering teams on technology-driven projects. You understand the software development lifecycle and how modern practices influence delivery.
13. E-commerce & Logistics Knowledge: Experience in digital retail, specifically involving shipping, carrier management, or last-mile logistics.
14. Methodology Mastery: Strong experience with structured methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, APM) and a deep understanding of how to apply them.
15. Communication & Influence: A confident communicator who can translate technical and logistics challenges into actionable insights for the business.
16. Tooling & Mindset: Proficiency in Jira and Confluence, with a pragmatic, outcome-focused, and detail-oriented approach.
