Head of community

Crypto Banter

Offer description

Why this role

Crypto School is building a new model around short, high‑intent trading challenges and live trading, instead of long, static courses. These challenges live or die on the community experience: people need to feel welcomed and guided, questions and issues need to be solved fast, and wins and stories need to be captured and fed back into marketing. Your job is to be the face of the challenge community: part crypto community manager, part customer issues point person, part marketing partner who spots stories and signals before anyone else. You sit on the growth side of the business, not in a back‑office support queue.

What success looks like (first 3–6 months)

Every live challenge community feels alive, safe and supported – clear pinned info, daily touch points, fast answers. Most questions get a helpful reply within a few business hours, or are cleanly escalated with context. Repeated friction (KYC, deposits, rules confusion, access issues) is documented and fed back to Product / CRM / Growth so it gets fixed, not just answered. Each challenge produces real student wins and testimonials that hosts and marketing actually use.

What you’ll do

Community management

* Run the day‑to‑day community for each challenge
* Welcome new members
* Post daily check‑ins and reminders
* Keep rules, FAQs and key links pinned and easy to find

Keep the vibe high energy but safe

* Enforce rules
* Kill spam/scams
* De‑escalate when needed

Coordinate with hosts and the growth team on

* Kick‑off posts
* Live session announcements
* Final day wrap‑ups and celebrations
* Use polls, questions and small prompts to get more people posting and sharing progress

Customer issues & support – first line for questions on

* Exchange sign‑up / KYC / deposits
* Challenge rules and daily tasks
* Access problems (links, logins, roles, etc.)

Triage issues

* Solve directly when you can
* Escalate cleanly with context when you cannot (to ops / product / CRM / support)

Maintain and improve

* FAQs and “start here” posts
* Saved replies / macros for common issues
* Track recurring friction and raise it with clear examples so the teams can remove it at the root

Marketing, stories and reactivation

* Spot wins and “aha” moments: screenshots, PnL, progress posts, good quotes (with permission and proper disclaimers)
* Package these for marketing and hosts: short story write‑ups, testimonial snippets, ideas for case studies or social posts
* Help run reactivation and referral pushes inside the community when we launch new challenges or offers

Simple reporting & feedback

* Track basic community health per challenge: joins vs active members, message volume, response times, top 5 issue categories

After each challenge, write a short summary

* What worked
* What broke
* What you recommend changing next time

Requirements

2–4+ years in crypto / trading community management, customer success for a trading / fintech / edtech product, or a similar role.

Solid working knowledge of crypto and exchanges:

* Spot vs derivatives
* Basic leverage and margin concepts
* KYC / verification and deposit flows

You do not need to be a pro trader, but you must be able to guide beginners safely and avoid reckless advice.

Real experience running communities on Discord and/or Telegram (Nas.io, circle or similar is a plus).

Strong written English

* Explain complex things simply
* Stay calm and clear with upset users
* Keep a tone that fits Banter / Crypto School

Experience handling customer issues

* Asking the right questions
* Documenting context
* Following through until the user is actually unblocked

Marketing centric mindset

* You see how community, support and lifecycle tie into the funnel
* You naturally think “how do we turn this into a win, story or learning”

Nice to have

You’ve traded yourself and know the emotional side of winning and losing.

Basic Canva or similar skills to create simple visuals or announcement posts.

Experience working with remote product, data and growth teams.

Comfortable occasionally working outside standard hours for live events or big challenge moments (with time off in lieu, not a 24/7 grind).

Why join us

* Be at the heart of a new challenge‑based trading education model, not just another Discord mod.
* See your work directly impact user outcomes – fewer stuck users, more real success stories.
* Small, fast team with real autonomy – you own the challenger community experience.
* Mission‑driven environment focused on financial education, not just shilling coins.
