As a Contract Quality Inspector - Mechanical, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the highest standards of quality in machined parts, sheet metal, and paint finishes. Your expertise in mechanical inspection will be crucial, utilising tools such as verniers and height gauges to deliver precise and accurate assessments. The ability to interpret engineering drawings is essential, allowing you to identify and rectify any discrepancies efficiently. While the core focus is on mechanical inspection, experience in optical and electronics inspection will be highly advantageous. This additional skill set will enable you to contribute to a broader range of quality assurance processes, further enhancing the value you bring to the team. The ideal Contract Quality Inspector - Mechanical will have: - Proven experience in mechanical inspection, particularly with machined parts and sheet metal. - Proficiency in using verniers, height gauges, and other relevant tools. - Strong ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings. - Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. - Experience in optical and electronics inspection (beneficial but not essential). This contract does not accept candidates operating through a Personal Service Company (PSC). Therefore, you will be required to work through an Umbrella company.
