Security Officer
Join Hilton as a Security Officer. This role ensures a safe guest and member experience, handles investigations, and supports emergency procedures.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and control staff entrances.
* Search bags and items carried by staff; report discrepancies.
* Control goods pass procedures for items purchased, loaned, or otherwise obtained.
* Maintain system monitoring contractors in compliance with health and safety.
* Check goods received out of hours.
* Record issuance and receipt of departmental keys.
* Operate, check, and monitor CCTV.
* Patrol hotel regularly, ensure fire walks and record them.
* Ensure safe passage of cash transfers.
* Support evacuation during fire alarm.
* Monitor suspicious packages; stay aware of bomb/terror threat procedures.
* Provide secure storage for guest oversized items.
* Keep facilities and function rooms secure and locked when not in use.
* Maintain security log book and incident reports.
* Investigate and report theft, criminal damage, and other incidents.
* Manage undesirable behaviour; intervene and defuse potential altercations.
* Liaise with police when Security Team Leader is absent.
* Report maintenance or hazard issues to supervisor on duty.
* Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
* SIA license.
* High school graduate or above.
* Good physical condition.
* At least two years of law enforcement experience in Security Bureau or military training.
* Knowledgeable about fire procedures, disaster plans, bomb threats, and hotel evacuation procedures.
* Well‑versed in local law/government regulation.
* Discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
* Positive attitude.
* Good communication skills.
* Good grooming standards.
* Ability to work under pressure and stay calm during emergencies.
* Ability to work independently or in teams.
Preferred Experience
* Previous customer service experience.
* First Aid certification.
* Knowledge of P.A.C.E.
* IT proficiency.

Schedule: Full‑time.
Salary: £31,638.15 per annum.
