Responsibilities of the Audit & Accounts Manager include:
* Manage and develop a portfolio of clients, acting as the main point of contact and ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
* Oversee the planning and execution of audit and accounts assignments, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
* Review and finalise work prepared by the team before submission to senior management or partners.
* Allocate tasks and responsibilities across the team, providing ongoing guidance, feedback, and performance reviews.
* Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them updated on progress and addressing any queries.
* Provide technical support to the team, ensuring work is compliant with current accounting and audit standards.
* Contribute to the training, mentoring, and development of junior staff.
* Prepare and review statutory accounts for a range of businesses and sectors.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal systems, processes, and workflows.
The successful Audit & Accounts Manager:
* ACA/ACCA qualified with a strong background in audit and accounts within practice.
* Experience managing client portfolios and leading audit engagements.
* Excellent technical knowledge of UK GAAP and accounting standards.
* Proactive, organised, and committed to delivering a high standard of work.
* Excellent IT skills including Excel, audit and accounts packages (CCH Accounts Production, CCH Audit Automation), Outlook, CCH Practice Management.
