This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who isconfidentmanaging both front-of-house and kitchen operations, including cooking whenrequired. Important: The setting-up and running of the cafe will feature as part of a new TV documentary series for the BBC and therefore the Manager will need to be comfortable being filmed and included in the programme content. The Manager will be integral to the running of aground-breakingsocial enterprise café, which employspeople in recovery from substanceuse.The Manager will play a vital role in supporting individuals back into meaningful employment, helping them develop confidence, structure, and pride through work. Alongside managing daily café operations, the Manager will mentor and lead a diverse team, providing on-the-job training, supporting staff to gain skills andrecognisedqualifications and creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive working environment. Prior experience of working in a café, restaurant, or hospitality management role Strong kitchen experience, including cooking and food preparation Relevant food safety qualifications (e.g.Food Safety Level 3 or equivalent) Sound knowledge of food hygiene, allergen management and health & safety regulations Excellent leadership, communication, andorganisationalskills Ability to manage a team with different requirements and working styles Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and busy periods A proactive, hands-on attitude with strong problem-solving skillsand an eye for detail FURTHER INFORMATION AND HOW TO APPLY The Café will be part of an overarching recovery project, which is being led by Delivering a Caring Wales (DACW).
