Designated Safeguarding Lead - Alternative Provision (Year 10 & Year 11)

Contract: Temp to Perm (12 weeks via agency, then permanent with the provision)
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) to join a well-respected Alternative Provision in Stalybridge, catering for pupils in Year 10 and Year 11 who may have faced challenges in mainstream education. This is a temp to perm opportunity - you will initially work via the agency for 12 weeks before moving to a permanent contract directly with the school.
The Role:
You will be the first point of contact for all safeguarding matters, ensuring the welfare and safety of all students remains paramount. You will work closely with the senior leadership team, external agencies, parents, and carers to create a safe, supportive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date safeguarding records in line with statutory requirements.

Proven experience in a safeguarding leadership role within an educational setting.
