Personal Assistant – Ofgem

Join us as a Personal Assistant at Ofgem, Britain’s independent energy regulator dedicated to protecting energy consumers and promoting a cleaner, greener environment.

Location: Office in Cardiff, Glasgow or London (regular travel to the London office required).


Job Summary

As a key member of a busy and collaborative Executive Assistants cohort, you will provide full secretarial and administrative support to the Chair and CEO, manage diaries, ensure relevant briefing materials, and support a wide range of projects across the organisation.


Key Outputs and Deliverables

* Manage the Chair/CEO diaries, ensuring efficient time allocation and handling of conflicting agenda items.
* Ensure the Chair and CEO receive relevant papers and briefings in a timely manner.
* Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues throughout the directorate and wider organisation.
* Act as a team member in team meetings, covering for other PAs/EA as required.
* Perform any other tasks commensurate with the role.


Key Stakeholder Relationships

Internal:

* Ofgem staff, including senior levels
* Other EAs, PAs, and administrators

External:

* Industry, consumer and environmental organisations and suppliers


Person Specification

* Experience providing administrative support in a fast‑paced environment, planning, organising and prioritising where priorities are constantly changing.
* Good interpersonal and networking skills, communicating with staff and industry contacts at all levels.
* Proactive, able to work with minimum supervision.
* Demonstrable ability to work as part of a team.
* Highly proficient with the MS Office suite (ideally including OneNote).


Salary and Benefits

Salary: £25,854 per annum. OFGEM contributes £7,489 towards membership of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme.
