MCS Group is delighted to be working with a leading financial services organisation who are looking for a Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of complex, multi‑team initiatives across a large organisation. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll translate business needs into secure, scalable, and cost‑effective solutions, while guiding technical teams through the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead end‑to‑end solution design across applications, integration, data, security, infrastructure, and operations.
* Translate business requirements into target architectures, roadmaps, and designs that teams can deliver.
* Produce and maintain architecture artefacts such as diagrams, logical/physical designs, APIs, integration contracts, and non‑functional requirements.
* Collaborate with product, engineering, security, infrastructure, and data teams to shape delivery plans and architecture roadmaps.
* Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards and quality benchmarks, supporting design reviews and architectural assurance.
* Stay informed on emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience delivering business and technology transformations in a regulated/ corporate environment
* Proven experience designing and implementing large‑scale solutions in complex environments.
* Strong systems thinking, able to simplify complex problems and communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical audiences.
* Hands‑on experience with software development, with the ability to guide and mentor teams.
* Experience producing structured architecture documentation.
