We are looking to appoint a Senior Strategic Surveyor to work alongside the Senior Manager Strategic Asset Management to direct and drive the strategic management of the Council’s portfolio and the management of the Council’s investment and non-operational asset properties.
This is an excellent opportunity to shape the direction and effectiveness of the Council’s strategic asset management plan; ensure we leverage our assets; provide robust integrated public services; working closely with Greater Manchester Combined Authority and a wide range of other public/private sector partners to determine and deliver the best use of Council assets and the delivery of public sector services to best support ongoing change within the City and the needs of the local and wider community.
You will be responsible for championing the cause of the Strategic Asset Management within the Council assisting in the development and delivery of Business Plans which meet the needs and plans of the Council and our third-party customers.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with key stakeholders internally and externally to develop strategic asset management solutions that meet the needs of the future as we move through a rapidly changing environment.
You will have demonstrable experience in dealing with property, asset management and valuation matters including knowledge and experience of commercial and residential lettings, conveyancing, landlord and tenant matters, portfolio performance, service charges, capital and maintenance budgets, business rates, procuring and managing external professional services and financial reporting.
Qualifications
You will be expected to be technically qualified to degree level and be professionally qualified from the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors or equivalent with an extensive practical application of knowledge post professional qualification.
