Pay rate – £40 per hour Contract – Temporary Barnsley Council are recruiting an experienced Independent Reviewing Officer / Conference Chair for their Children's services. Driving is required, full time only, 3 days onsite minimum Whilst this is advertised as an Independent Reviewing Officer role the candidate must have experience in the below outline’s areas of experience, particularly reg 44 visits. To ensure a high quality, safe, compliant placement provision for children and young people by maintaining robust QA systems, monitoring provider performance, coordinating due diligence processes, and supporting continuous improvement across the Children’s Placements service. The postholder will be required to visit residential homes and complete Quality Assurance and be confident to respond to serious concerns. The postholder will have experience of working alongside LADO and attending Strategy meetings. They will also be required to have a level experience to make decisions around Quality Assurance, Compliance Response and next steps. Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
