Job Description
Were working with a well-established social housing provider who are looking to appoint a Damp & Mould Surveyor to support their team on a temporary basis in Oxford. This role will focus on the inspection, diagnosis and resolution of damp, mould and disrepair issues across occupied homes.This Damp & Mould Surveyor role is offering:
* £300 per day.
* Initial 3-month contract with potential for extension.
* Full-time working hours.
* Oxford and surrounding areas.
* Opportunity to support a high-priority service area within social housing.
Key duties of the successful Damp & Mould Surveyor:
* Carrying out property inspections relating to damp, mould and condensation.
* Identifying root causes using appropriate building pathology and testing methods.
* Producing clear reports, schedules of works and remedial specifications.
* Supporting disrepair cases and complaint investigations
* Liaising with contractors to ensure remedial works are completed to standard and within agreed timescales.
* Providing clear technical advice to internal teams and residents.
Skills and experience required for the Damp & Mould Surveyor position:
* Proven experience inspecting and diagnosing damp, mould and building defects.
* Good understanding of building pathology and remedial solutions.
* Ability to prepare clear, concise technical reports.
* Experience working within social housing or a similar environment.
* Strong communication skills and a resident-focused approach.
Requirements:
* Relevant surveying, building or construction background or equivalent experience.
* Previous experience working on disrepair-focused cases.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
