A Colchester-based multi-disciplinary consultancy delivering award-winning, architectural-led projects is looking to appoint a CDM Principal Designer. This is a great opportunity for a confident CDM professional to join a supportive team working on a wide range of projects.
The CDM Principal Designer will lead on CDM duties across the early design stages, liaising closely with design teams to ensure safety is considered from concept through to construction. This practice offers a collaborative environment with regular design workshops and peer reviews.
The CDM Principal Designer role
The appointed CDM Principal Designer will:
Act as Principal Designer under CDM 2015 Regulations
Provide early-stage design risk advice
Attend client and design team meetings
Carry out H&S audits and inspections
Support junior staff and contribute to internal H&S initiativesThe Senior CDM Principal Designer
Minimum 3 years' experience in a CDM Principal Design role (required)
NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent (required)
A design-related qualification (preferred)
TechIOSH or higher (required)
APS Membership (preferred)

£50,000 - £55,000 base salary
