Lead Support Worker - Blyth, Edendale House
Join us as a Lead Support Worker in Blyth, Edendale House. This permanent, part-time role offers 10-20 hours per week on a three-week rolling rota, with a pay rate of £13.21 to £13.63 per hour (£25,838 to £26,645 per annum pro rata). We provide great benefits, including a Health Cash Plan.
About the Role
As our Lead Support Worker, or Coordinator, you'll support customers with complex mental health needs to develop skills for independent living. Your work will make a significant difference in their lives, helping them achieve their hopes and aspirations.
Typical Responsibilities
1. Creating support plans collaboratively with customers and coordinating a small team of Support Workers to implement these plans.
2. Supporting customers with daily activities such as meal preparation, shopping, budgeting, tenancy maintenance, and transitioning to independent accommodation.
3. Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting, and conducting regular reviews.
4. Engaging in informal chats and catch-ups, fostering a relaxed and collaborative environment.
Candidate Requirements
* Passion for supporting customers to live their best lives, with attention to detail and a collaborative approach.
* Experience in creating person-centred support plans and supporting colleagues in their implementation.
* Experience in coordinating and assessing customer referrals.
* Ability to work independently, remain calm under pressure, and demonstrate resilience.
