We are currently recruiting for a Product Coordinator to join our team at the Kevington Midlands site in Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire.
The successful candidate will be the primary communicator for the Ibstock Kevington Midlands Mechslip product. Mechslip is a mechanically fixed brick slip system produced under a joint venture between the UK's leading brick producer Ibstock PLC and the aluminium and steel envelope provider Ash and Lacy. The product has experienced exponential market growth, supplying the UK's tallest buildings with brick-faced façades, supported by these two major companies.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Managing daily communication and operations for the Mechslip product.
* Collaborating with Production and Quality teams to ensure product supply and quality standards are maintained.
* Coordinating with Supply Chain partners and material suppliers to ensure effective scheduling and site communication.
* Managing critical supply chains for key customers.
* Engaging with stakeholders proactively through initiative and clear communication.
Key Skills & Requirements:
* Proficiency in IT, including experience with JDEdwards and Excel; prior knowledge is preferred but support can be provided.
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to coordinate spreadsheets and understand construction tolerances.
* Knowledge of best practices in quality analysis and process improvement.
* Ability to support management in implementing improved procedures.
* Excellent communication skills with suppliers and customers at a high level.
* Understanding of brick products, tolerances, and physical constraints.
* Knowledge of current health, safety, and environmental legislation.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
* Experience with UK brick manufacturing processes.
* Knowledge of ISO14001 standards.
* Ability to work under pressure with control and consistency.
* Understanding of production techniques and processes.
* Flexibility to work varied hours.
* Familiarity with site procedures and practices.
* Full UK driving license.
