Following previous success and popularity, Hyett Education wants to relaunch ‘Tech Tigers’ - an After-School and Holiday Club - to children, aged 5-14, in the Midlands (predominantly in Wolverhampton, South Staffordshire and Shropshire).
Our workshops predominantly link to Science, Computing, Engineering and Maths. No STEM background? No problem! We’ll provide full training and support.
What we offer:
Term Time Hours
Monday - Friday, 12 out of 13 weeks per term.
4 hours a day, mostly 1.30pm - 5.30pm - including travel and admin time.
School Holiday Hours
Tech Tigers Holiday Clubs will run for:
3 - 5 days during October half term
2 - 3 days during Christmas holidays
3 - 5 days during February half term
6 - 8 days during Easter holidays
3 - 4 days during May half term
3 - 5 days, per week, during Summer holidays
Working hours for Holiday Clubs - 8:00am - 6:00pm.
Salary:
Gross pro-rata salary of £11,000 - £14,400 per annum, minimum (an hourly rate of £12.21 to £16 or £23,809 to £31,200 full time equivalent). There will be opportunities for additional hours.

Training & Support:
First Aid, Safeguarding and Food Hygiene training.
Administrative training in all aspects of the booking process, including communicating with the host schools and parents.
Training and support from highly experienced teachers.
Training in after-school clubs will include shadowing and team-teaching alongside our instructors. Existing staff with experience of Tech Tigers to support holiday clubs.
What you will do:
Provide stimulating STEM educational experiences for children aged 5-14 year olds, beyond the school day.
Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents and host schools.
Travel across the West Midlands to deliver after-school clubs in different schools.
Be part of a small but growing team making a big impact in education.
Who we are looking for:
Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
Able to work independently and manage a team.
Reliable, personable, and confident working with children, including those with SEND.
Punctual and organised - be prepared for lots of variety!
Able to build positive relationships with schools and colleagues and provide exemplary customer service to parents.
Subject knowledge in Science, Computing, Engineering and Mathematics is desired but not essential.
A UK driving licence and your own vehicle - all fuel, travel and meal expenses are covered (a company car may be provided in certain circumstances).
Current Clear Enhanced DBS will be required, prior to start.
