The College has a strong reputation for excellence and a forward-thinking approach, and is seeking a talented and experienced Financial Controller to join its team on a part-time basis. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop fiscal acumen in a senior position while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Your new role
As Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in the strategic and operational financial management of the College. Reporting directly to the Vice Principal of Finance and Corporate Services, your responsibilities will include:
* Leading the preparation of financial statements and management accounts.
* Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
* Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and funding requirements.
* Providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making.
* Managing internal and external audit processes.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience in a senior finance role. You should possess:
* Strong technical accounting knowledge
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team
