Overview
Our placements last for 12 months, working across both design and construction teams, to offer the broadest exposure to the industry, working on real-world projects that make a difference in communities. It’s a great chance to get involved with live projects while gaining experience relevant to your degree.
What you’ll do
* Assist in the planning, design, construction, commissioning, handover and completion of projects.
* Assist the Project Leader (Designer) with preparation of design, technical drawings and other documentation in line with company processes, procedures and contract requirements.
* Assist the Site Engineer with setting out line & level of structures and pipework in line with construction drawings using a variety of surveying equipment (GPS, total station, dumpy level, pipe laser).
* Assist the Site Engineer with carrying out the required quality assurance and completing ITRs (Inspection and test records) in line with company procedures.
* Assist the Site Manager & Site Engineer with supervising safety, health & environment on site in line with company standards and procedures.
* Assist the Site Manager & Site Engineer with day‑to‑day running of the site including requisition of materials and plant and processing of delivery tickets.
* Liaise with designers, support teams and supply chains.
* Assist the Site Engineer with producing as‑built surveys and records.
* Assist the Project Leader (Designer) with compiling completion documentation in line with the client completion process.
Qualifications
* You must be studying a full‑time undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering.
* You have a basic understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
* You have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* You are willing to learn and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
* You have a valid driving licence and use of a car is essential.
* You are willing and flexible to travel to sites across your operational region.
