Role: Senior Civil Engineer
You will work on major water and wastewater projects across the South West, shaping civil functions from concept design to commissioning. The role involves delivering design support, managing interfaces, acting as a technical checker and mentoring junior engineers.
Responsibilities
* Provide design support and guidance for schemes, ensuring all designs are fit for purpose.
* Work closely with commercial, operational and construction teams to develop efficient, practical and safe solutions throughout design stages.
* Positively engage with the client, managing relationships and supporting a one‑team approach.
* Manage interfaces and integration of civil design with other disciplines and produce documentation.
* Act as technical checker on project documents and undertake technical reviews across teams.
* Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, including the development and implementation of standard designs and sustainable solutions.
* Undertake site reviews to ensure buildability of solutions and integration within existing systems.
* Support the development of the civil engineering team, coaching and mentoring engineers.
Qualifications
* Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
* Chartership (CEng) with a relevant Engineering Institution.
* Experience of successfully delivering high‑quality outputs in accordance with design, quality and safety standards.
* Water or wastewater treatment experience.
* Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the operational region.
