Salaried General Practitioner (GP) - Newly Qualified
City Walls Medical Centre is seeking a newly qualifiedGeneral Practitioner (GP) to join our team on a fixed-term salaried contractuntil 31st March 2026 (shorter contracts considered). This role is funded through the Additional RolesReimbursement Scheme (ARRS) and is available to all GPs who have qualifiedwithin the last two years. The position involves four sessions per week,scheduled on Thursdays and Fridays, with flexible start and end times to beagreed upon. We are keen to begin the recruitment process and aim to establisha start date at the earliest convenience.
The clinical sessions will include a reduced workload toalign with the expectations of a newly qualified GP. To facilitate the GPs'transition into the role, they will generate their own administrative work,there will be no duty GP responsibilities, and a mentor will be available forsupport.
At City Walls Medical Centre, we use the EMIS Web clinicalsystem and have a dedicated administrative team to support with letters,referrals, results, and medication management.

Main duties of the job
* Conduct face-to-face and telephone consultations, manage test results, and perform home visits (minimal).
* Make autonomous decisions regarding presented medical problems, whether self-referred or referred by other healthcare professionals.
* Assess the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
* Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
* Develop care plans in consultation with patients, following practice disease management protocols.
* Record clear consultation notes to agreed standards.
* Collect data for audit purposes and comply with Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) requirements.
* Compile and issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions.
* Participate in a Quality Improvement Project.

Qualifications
* Fully qualified GP with GMC registration.
* Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate).
* Listed on the NHSE medical performers list.
* Qualified within the last two years.
* Good understanding and experience in chronic disease management, primary prevention, and screening services.
* Commitment to career development, learning, and performance, and ensure that all your mandatory training is up to date.
* Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines.
* Commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, maintaining confidentiality.
