Renfrewshire Council are seeking to recruit an apprentice plumber for our successful Modern Apprenticeship Programme.\n\nSuccessful applicants will be based at our Underwood Road Depot and will work across all Renfrewshire Councils property estate including housing stock, schools, care homes and offices. It is essential that you possess a minimum of 3 National 4 qualifications at grade 4 or above (or equivalent). These can be any 3 subjects including English, Mathâs, Craft and Design, Graphic Communication or other Technical subject.\n\nIt is also essential that you have a genuine interest in the construction industry and are able to carry out all tasks relevant to the modern apprenticeship. This includes being able to demonstrate that you can be an effective team member who can also work on their own, you can show initiative and you have effective interpersonal, communication and numeracy skills.\n\nApplicants must be resident within Renfrewshire and aged between 16 and 19 years at the start of apprenticeship.\n\nThese posts will commence August /September 2026.\n\nIt is desirable for you to have an NPA in Construction, Plumbing or Electrical Installation and Maintenance, experience of working in similar environment and have knowledge of the appropriate trade tools. It is also desirable that you have suitable IT skills, knowledge of Renfrewshire Council and have, or are working towards, a full current driving license.\n\nShortlisted applicants will be required to attend an interview.
