Smile Education are currently recruiting for a school experienced Exams Officer to start immediately for a secondary school in Redditch.
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the full examination cycle, ensuring all internal and external exams are administered in line with JCQ regulations and awarding body requirements. You will work closely with senior leaders, teaching staff and invigilators to ensure the smooth running of all exam processes throughout the academic year.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and well-organised school office team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Managing the full exam cycle including entries, amendments and withdrawals
Liaising with awarding bodies such as AQA, Edexcel, OCR and WJEC
Ensuring compliance with JCQ regulations at all times
Producing and managing exam timetables
Organising exam rooms, seating plans and registers
Recruiting, training and deploying invigilators
Processing access arrangements and special consideration applications
Managing the secure storage and handling of confidential exam papers
Coordinating results days and post-results services
Maintaining accurate candidate data using SIMS/ARBOR/BROMCOM
Presenting exam data to senior leaders where required
Providing administrative support during busy exam periods
What to expect from applicants?
We are looking for candidates with prior experience working within a school environment. Previous experience as an Exams Officer or within school administration is highly desirable. Experience using SIMS/CMIS/BROMCOM/ARBOR is essential. Knowledge of JCQ regulations would be advantageous, although training can be provided for the right candidate.
