Fantastic opportunity to join the Mitie and Marks & Spencer family!
We are looking for a professional and adaptable Site Protection Officer (SPO) to provide exceptional security cover across a Marks & Spencer Distribution Centre.
As an SPO, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure working environment for staff, visitors, and contractors, protecting company assets, and ensuring a consistent, high-quality service across all DCs. You will be required to work flexibly across days, nights, and weekends, including short-notice cover when required.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
1. Provide professional security cover across the M&S Distribution Centre.
2. Deliver outstanding customer service in line with Mitie and M&S key values.
3. Maintain professional standards of appearance, conduct, and incident reporting.
4. Monitor access control systems, CCTV, and vehicle movements in accordance with site procedures.
5. Conduct regular internal and external patrols to ensure site safety and security.
6. Support the prevention and investigation of theft, stock loss, and unauthorised access.
7. Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, alarms, and emergencies following site protocols.
8. Assist site management and permanent SPO teams to maintain smooth and compliant operations.
9. Work flexibly to meet operational requirements, including short-notice assignments.
10. Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and company security policies.
Person Specification
✅ Literate and numerate with strong attention to detail.
✅ Professional appearance and high personal standards.
✅ Adaptable, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
✅ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
✅ Calm under pressure with a positive, “can-do” attitude.
✅ Must hold a valid front-line SIA Licence.
✅ Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a reliable vehicle.
