Playing a vital role in protecting patients, staff and services when it matters most. The successful candidate will manage the delivery of BTHFT's emergency preparedness, resilience and response functions, and to support the enhancement and embedding of the resilience culture across the Trust. This will include working with colleagues from across the organisation and externally. They will also provide training, management and support to all Trust staff in Emergency Planning and Business Continuity, ensuring that robust systems are in place. This role includes work across a range of incidents or events including, but not limited to: Business continuity incident Critical incident Major incident Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) / Hazmat Site lockdown / Martyn's La Severe weather Loss of ward/ department. Main duties of the job Daily management of the delivery of the Trust's Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) agenda, linked to relevant organisational, local, regional and national objectives Undertaking a role of Trainer for BTHFT, including the development of new training and ensuring existing training remains relevant for all levels of staff regarding all aspects of EPRR and business continuity using a variety of training skills and methods. Ensure evaluation is built into all training and evaluate this to ensure that the training stay currents and meets the needs of our learners. To effectively receive and communicate information relating to anticipating, assessing, preventing, preparing, responding and recovering from a range of disruptive challenges e.g. Major Incidents and CBRN events. Develop new and existing plans and policies relating to EPRR and business continuity in line with requirements from the NHS England Core Standards for Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response including the CBRN and their implementation across the organisation, ensuring policy monitoring keeps them in date. To develop, test and enhance existing Business Continuity Plans (BCP's) and action cards and create new plans where gaps exist. To support the development and implementation of event/incident specific procedures in respect of current emerging issues e.g. CBRN, public health emergencies, lockdown, industrial actions, Major Incidents and business continuity management.
